This option is intended for businesses and individuals who would like a dynamic and evolving presence on the internet to promote their products and/or their services, but who would like us to set it all up for them.
The technology is the same as the workshop version, but the difference is that we will be using it to publish your website.
You will need to provide us with:
* A domain name for your website that we will register and host for you (we can help you choose this, or use your existing one);
* The content of your website for up to four pages;
* A news-item for starting your own blog;
* Up to eight photos or images to be used on your website, in printed or electronic format;
At the end you will have:
* Your own website;
* Your own blog;
* Your own domain name and website hosting*;
* Up to 5 email accounts;
* Free top-of-the range show-case listing of your new website on www.pulsating.com (worth £99 per year)**;
* Free access to the online support forum.
Cost (VAT inclusive): £399.00
…And then?
1) Maintain your Web & Blog accessing the admin area yourself;
As part of the package you will receive a username and password to access the admin area of your website.
You can then edit each one of the pages that we have already created for you to keep the content up-to-date. You can also add items to your blog as often as you wish. This is less time consuming than setting up the whole of your website, but gives you the full control of its future management.
In order to help our existing customers, we run up to four practical Q&A sessions throughout the year. These are short workshops organised for all our Web & Blog customers, whether they have chosen the “You do it” or “We do it” option.
2) Enroll our support scheme for only £12 a month.
Keeping your blog active and your website updated is the key for a successful website. We understand that sometimes this task can be cumbersome and that businesses and individuals would rather let us take care of the updates as well.
When you decide to sign up for the support contract we post any update you give us on your website and we will post new items on your blog according to what you send us.
Our experience has tought us that, unless reminded, it is easy for website owners to forget about the vital role of their blog. Therefore we will send you monthly reminders via email, prompting you to put together a news-item for your own blog. You simply reply with your news item and we will update the blog.
*Domain name registration and hosting will be renewable annually.
